Our Dance Classes

5th Element Dance provides dance classes to suit all ages, levels and abilities. All of our classes have a unique structure that while the students are having fun and getting fit they are learning all the technique and skills they will need if they ever decide to teach dance or become a dancer, while progressing at their own pace. If students show the potential and a passion to take dance further we offer classes and opportunities to help them succeed.

Ready Set Dance

Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Move, Ready Set Ballet, Ready Set Acro

Ready Set Dance/Ready Set Ballet is a combo class of BALLET, JAZZ, TAP, HIP HOP, SINGING and MUSIC and a whole lot of fun! Our award winning preschool program offers dance classes for children aged 2-5. Develop coordination, body awareness, strength and flexibility both through visual and auditory instruction.

Dance Cirque Circus Classes are new and unique for children over 5 years of age. Watch as your child meets new friends, gains confidence and learns new skills in this super fun class. Class includes circuits, lyra, silks, trapeze, juggling, hula hoops and more! All under the supervision of our fully qualified teachers.

Ballet

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD)

Ballet, the most graceful and disciplined form of dance, is offered to students of all ages, from 5 years to adult. Taken as an exam class, students learn the fundamentals of technique and performance. Following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet curriculum, we offer everything for the aspiring ballerina under the expert guidance of our highly experienced teachers.

Jazz

Comdance (CSTD) and Open Jazz

A dynamic, energetic and fun style of dance performed to popular and energizing music. Jazz is appropriate for all ages, ranging from children's fun beats to modern jazz and commercial dance. CSTD Syllabus work is offered in younger grades for those wishing to progress and advance their technique. 5th Element ensures that choreography is innovating, challenging and entertaining ensuring students are both challenged and having fun. Jazz classes at 5th Element promote fitness, flexibility, technique, coordination and performance quality.

Contemporary

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet, and can be performed to many different styles of music. Contemporary dancers focus on floor work, using gravity to pull them down to the floor.

Acro

Acrobatics uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks alongside dance movements. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. Students learn basic skills to start such as forward rolls and handstands to then progress to more advance skills such as back handsprings and aerials.

Comdance (CSTD)

A fun and rhythmical form of dance encouraging both musicality and co-ordination through special shoes that have metal taps at the ball and heel of the foot, creating many rhythms and sounds with your feet when dancing.

Acro Arts

Acrobatic Arts

Acrobatic arts is a beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precious and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined as unique choreography Acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context. The program is built on safe and effective progressions through flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. This class is a fundamental for students wishing to take their dancing to the next level.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to Hip Hop music.

A great style to learn and use at your next dance party or maybe on stage as a professional dancer.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre/Singing

Musical Theatre combines acting, music song and dance. The emotional content of the piece – humour, grief, love, anger – as well as the story itself, is communicated through all these mediums.

Heels

Heels

Heels is a branch of jazz that explores the maturity of dancing in heels and extending the opportunities of what dance can offer.

E-Teams

Performance Teams

Performance Teams are a great opportunity to excel in on-stage performances, as well as take your technique to another level with the extra contact dance tuition hours and dancing with like-minded students as a team, as well as working to extend each student to reach a higher level of confidence and technique.
